If you want Little Greene Hammock in a Dulux tin, you're in luck — there are two matches that land almost perfectly.
Dulux Gentle Gold 1 and Dulux Golden Light both come in at ΔE 1 from the original, with an LRV of 60.3. A ΔE under 1 is imperceptible to the eye and under 2.5 is very close, so at ΔE 1 these are about as good as cross-brand matching gets. Stand them next to each other and you'd be hard pushed to call which is the Little Greene and which is the Dulux.
Both Dulux options read the same on the wall, so pick whichever your stockist has on hand or whichever finish range you need. Hammock is that soft, sunny gold-cream that sits in the mid-light range — at LRV 60.3 it bounces a fair bit of light around without going stark, which is why it works so nicely in hallways, kitchens and rooms that don't get much direct sun.
Now, the honest bit you'd expect me to flag: a perfect ΔE match is measured on a flat chip under controlled light. Little Greene's pigment load and the way their paint film holds colour does have a character of its own — particularly in their richer flat finishes — so in certain raking light the Dulux can feel a touch flatter. Nine times out of ten you'll never notice, but if you're matching into an existing Hammock wall rather than starting fresh, that's worth knowing.
My advice: buy a tester of Gentle Gold 1 or Golden Light, paint a decent patch — at least A4 — and live with it across a full day before you commit. Yellows and golds shift more than most under changing light, so judging it morning and evening will tell you everything you need. Sorted.
