Is there a cheaper alternative to Dulux Heritage Potters Pink?

Quick answer

Yes — Dulux Satin Bow is a near-perfect match at ΔE 0.7 and sits in the standard Dulux range at a lower price. Crown Pashmina is the other strong contender at ΔE 1.

There is, and it's a cracking match. Dulux Satin Bow lands at ΔE 0.7 from Dulux Heritage Potters Pink (LRV 64.1), which is well inside the imperceptible threshold — under ΔE 1 means you genuinely won't see a difference on the wall. Since Satin Bow lives in the standard Dulux range rather than the Heritage line, you get effectively the same colour for less money. That's the one I'd reach for.

If you'd rather shop around, Crown Pashmina (LRV 64.3) sits at ΔE 1 from the original — still very close, and another sensible budget option. Both Satin Bow and Pashmina share that soft, chalky pink-beige character that makes Potters Pink such a useful, liveable colour. It reads pink in cooler north light and warms toward a putty-beige in the evening, so test it on more than one wall.

The one to be careful with is COAT Granny Chic. It's a lovely colour in its own right, but at ΔE 3.7 and a noticeably higher LRV of 76.6, it's a fair bit lighter and not a true match — it'll feel paler and airier than Potters Pink rather than like-for-like. Don't buy it expecting a dupe.

The "but what about quality" question is fair. Heritage paint carries a richer pigment load and a flatter, more characterful finish, so if you're after that velvety Heritage look on a feature wall, the premium can earn its keep. For a whole room — and especially a rental or a quick refresh — Satin Bow gives you the colour without the cost.

Practical advice: order a sample pot of Satin Bow, paint a couple of A4 patches on opposite walls, and live with it across a full day. Match the sheen too — Potters Pink in matt won't look identical to Satin Bow in eggshell even if the colour's spot on.
